Our Journey
Like all crazy adventures, it began with a dream. This is our journey in a timeline.
From a sketch to “reel life”
Rich drew a story concept
HEAVENS: THE BOY AND HIS ROBOT began as short-film story. And the story was used to test two bigger ideas. First, the application of new technology that could potentially revolutionalize film-making. Second, a business idea of a franchise entertainment experience that could leverage on shared production and advertising resources.

Filming began
Casting and production for the research and development (R&D) phase took place in Singapore.

Enter Key R&D partners

Heavens Pte Ltd incorporated
With the successful conclusion of the R&D phase HEAVENS: THE BOY AND HIS ROBOT was green-lit to be made into a full-length feature film to be launched for commercial viewing.

Lights, Camera, Action!
Production for the movie took us to New Zealand where we met new cast and crew. Upon returning to Singapore, new locations were scouted, and film sets were built. For as much as possible, we like to film our fantasy sci-fi worlds in nature’s beautiful real life environments.

Growing Intellectual Property (IP)
“HEAVENS” logo and “THE BOY AND HIS ROBOT” movie title were successfully registered as trademarks. We made it legit. More seriously, we were accumulating more and more IP, and needed to safeguard all our hard work.
Awarded Post Digital and Visual Effects Grants
We received support from the Federal Government of Australia (Screen Australia) and State Governments (Screen Queensland and South Australian Film Commission).

Postproduction Magic with Australia
RESIN VFX and THE POST LOUNGE partnered us in bringing HEAVENS:THE BOY AND HIS ROBOT visually to life. BOOM TRACKS created the entire soundscape and enhanced the action and excitement with Dolby Atmos Cinema Sound.
Remote Post-Production
During the COVID-19 pandemic, our work shifted online, including final post-production and online test screenings with audiences in Japan and New Zealand.
